Scouting’s Outdoor Program… “Scouting is three-quarters Outing”

Scouting provides many opportunities for youth to participate in adventures. From day hikes to camporees, summer resident camp and day camp, unit and council level events, the activities match the interests and abilities of the Scouts. Older Scouts may participate in high-adventure programs such as rock climbing, rappelling, and whitewater rafting. Younger Scouts may attend resident camps and day camps, and learn teamwork within their den and pack. Summer camp and day camp blend a fun program with advancement requirements to reinforce skills learned throughout the year. In Scouting, fitness is fun with a purpose.

Every Scout should have the opportunity to go to Council and District events. Camperships help families with a portion of event fees. If you need financial assistance with event fees, see Campership applications below.
