The Mobile Area Council is compromised of four counties: Baldwin, Clarke, Mobile, and Washington. Nearly 1,500 youth and registered adults participate in the scouting program annually. Parents and adult volunteers dedicate their time and energy to make the program a success. Community organizations charter the units that help our youth learn lessons about life and the value of being a person of character and integrity.
The Council spans from the waters of the Gulf of Mexico to the pine forests of Clarke County. Alabama’s entire coastal area of sugar white sand beaches fall within the Council service area. The Council maintains and operates the Maubila Scout Reservation (Camp Maubila) in Clarke County for scouts to enjoy year round. The Council Service Center is located in Mobile with a full service of professional and support staff to help families navigate the Scout life. A National Scout Shop is conveniently located in the Council Service Center.
Scouting is unlike any other youth program- it fosters the development of the whole person and offers youth the opportunity to participate in activities that will help launch them on a successful course for life. Scouting is for Everyone.
